‘Unite Against Poverty’ with Project Compassion
This Lent, we’re inviting the MacKillop College community to ‘Unite Against Poverty’ with Caritas Australia’s Project Compassion.
Lent is a significant season in our Liturgical year. It is a time of prayer, fasting and almsgiving, a time to be the ‘good news for the poor’ (Luke 4:18).
This year Lent is especially significant as we celebrate the Jubilee Year – a time of renewal and solidarity.
As individuals we can help others, but when we come together as a MacKillop College community through Project Compassion, our good becomes great.
Our combined kindness grows.
And when we unite with each other – and with people living in poverty – we can create BIG, lasting change.

We are issuing a challenge and fostering a friendly competition among our different year levels.
We have established six separate teams, each representing a different year level, with the goal of determining which year level can raise the most funds for Project Compassion.
