COVID-19 – 1 September UPDATE 1
Dear Parents/Guardians,
I hope you and your family are safe and well given the current circumstances surrounding lockdown on this first day of spring.
This afternoon, Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews made several announcements regarding COVID-19 that need sharing, given the implications for us as a College and community.
He announced that there will be no return to onsite learning for Term 3 and that he will share the plan for Term 4 at a later date.
To ensure our senior students have certainty and are ready for Year 12 exams, the Premier also announced that, from Tuesday 7 September to Friday 17 September, the Victorian Government will put in place a priority vaccination program.
As part of this program, Year 12, and any students completing Unit 3/4 subjects, as well as teachers and those supervising exams, will be given priority booking access at state-run clinics. Students will need to book an appointment, as walk-ups will not be available.
Students will be able to book one of these priority appointments from Monday 6 September. I will provide students, along with yourselves, advice on how to arrange a priority booking on Friday 3 September.
The Premier also announced that the General Achievement Test (GAT) will be postponed to Tuesday 5 October.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
God bless.
Kind Regards,
Rory Kennedy
Principal
