Athletics Carnival Results
On Friday 7 May, around 520 students participated in just over 120 events at the Athletics Carnival, with COOK finishing the day as convincing winners.
SCORES: Cook 1131 points; Flinders 931; Chisholm 891, Knox 866.
There were three records broken on the day, with Year 12 Sports Captain Mia White setting new records in both the 800m and 1500m. She broke the 800m record (which has stood for 26 years) by 13 seconds, and broke the 1500m record by 20 seconds. An amazing achievement!
Charlie Muraca of Year 11 also broke the 400m record, which had stood for 20 years.
There were also a number of outstanding individual performances on the day with the following students all winning at least three events:
